Korman Puts Energy Into Earth Day

Earth Day 2014 Korman Residential Properties

Just in time for Earth Day, Korman Residential Properties is launching an energy audit program with the help of the PECO Smart Multifamily Solutions team. The goal? Help reduce energy consumption by 25%.

Starting this week Korman will begin working with PECO to put new CFL lighting, faucet aerators, and showerheads into their communities, all of which will be free of charge to residents. “We looked at the potential of reducing community energy consumption and lowering resident utility bills, and could see that this is a win for everyone” said Noreen Cassidy, Operations Controller for Korman, who is leading the project.

The installations are taken care of by trained technicians from PECO, accompanied by a member of the property’s management team. After their work is complete, residents receive documentation and other educational materials about the energy-saving products that were installed in their home free of charge.

Of course, Korman is no stranger to energy efficiency. All of their communities feature Modernista Earth Friendly Apartments, which are not only stunning to look at, but feature Earth-friendly components throughout the apartment such as locally sourced and recycled materials, Energy Star rated appliances, Zero VOC paint, and the list goes on.

Interested in living an energy efficient lifestyle? Korman has apartment communities in PA, DE, NJ and FL which you can explore online at www.livekorman.com, or by calling 888-2-KORMAN 24/7.
