More than 300 members of the Delaware Apartment Association celebrated excellence and achievement at the annual awards gala held once again at The Queen. The theme of the evening was a masquerade ball and many in the crowd wore masks but they could not hide their excitement as winners were announced in categories which included: Curb Appeal, Leasing & Marketing, Maintenance, and Overall Presentation. Individual honors were presented to Candy McVey from Korman Residential as Property Manager of the Year. Diana Gay of Morgan Properties was named Leasing Professional while Abedbe Lackley also of Morgan Properties accepted the Maintenance Supervisor award. One of the many highlights of the evening was the announcement of Korman Residential as Property Management Company of the Year, repeating the honor they also received in 2012.

Guests arrived at the cool and historic music-oriented venue in downtown Wilmington, which also includes World Cafe Live, where they enjoyed a cocktail reception followed by dinner and the program. DAA president Melinda Bosco welcomed attendees before handing the podium over to several individual sponsors who announced both first and second place winners in each category along with honorable mention recipients. A new addition to the festivities this year was a dance party with a DJ immediately following the completion of the awards presentation, ensuring the night would continue in celebratory style.
